Get set to Wipeout the opposition as you take your life once more in hand.

The original WipEout was one of the defining games for the original PlayStation a decade or so ago, showing off the then superior graphics and sound. Now the latest variant has caromed over the horizon and is set to storm the bastions of racing once more.

Using the built in WiFi networking capabilities of the emerging PSP, WipEout Pure promises to let up to eight human players take part in head to head battles for track supremacy as they get to grips with what looks from the screenshots to be a visually stunning game, packed full of explosive action, with a pumping soundtrack designed and recorded specifically for the release by some top name in the tunes biz.

New craft and weapons are slated to be included to be raced around the frechly minted landscapes that will push your reflexes to the max. Plus for the modding enthusiast there will be post release downloads to skin your vehicle to make it the true motor monster of your dreams.

Due for a March 2005 release.
