Madden about the deal
It's the fourth down and a million to go and EA have thrown a hail mary for a touchdown.
Posted by Chris Snook - PC,Xbox,GameCube,PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe

Sports sims are to say the least a popular line of business. One which over the last decade or so has pretty much defined and predicated the dominance of Electronic Arts in the gaming world. With one of the best series produced being the Madden NFL Football titles.

Which this year came under pressure from other US Football titles that contain NFL teams and content, now this will no longer happen as the National Football League and EA have signed an exclusive deal to work together, cutting out rivals Sega and Take-Two Interactive's ESPN branded game.

What the exclusive deals means is that EA will produce titles for all platforms, consoles, PC and the next gen handhelds, it does not extend as far as for mobile phones.
