Acclaim have just announced that Dakar 2, an arcade version of the famous off-road endurance Paris to Dakar rally, is to be released on the PlayStaion 2, GameCube and Xbox in Febuary 2003.
The sequal will feature lots more options and game play enhancements than the original, with tighter tracks, faster cars and more traffic. It will feature updated licensed cars, trucks and bikes for 2003, and full damage on all vehicles. Race against over 600 cars, trucks and bikes starting from Paris, France, then into Spain and across Morocco before entering the more traditional Dakar landscapes. Race across deserts, forests and towns, and Dakar 2 will feature interaction with the enviroment including, water, bush, and even villagers!
