Syndicate head honoured
It is a very Happy New Year as one of the games industries great innovators is honoured.

One piece of gaming news that peeped over the horizon a fraction before the New Year wandered into sight was that one of the best known names in the gaming industry, Peter Molyneux has been awarded an OBE.

As the creator of such classic games as Populous and Black & White, Peter Molyneux is credited as being the progenitor of the highly popular 'God Game' genre. In recent years however, since founding Lionshead Studios in 1997 there have been a number of unique games, the culmination of which was the recent Fable.

Acknowledged for its staggering scope and it's freeform play Fable once more came close to redefining a genre, he does however have one question to answer when he goes to pick up his gong. "Being an absolute geek I've got no idea what I'm going to wear when I go and pick it up," he is quoted as saying.
