Many years ago at the dawn of time, there strode a title through the land of Speccy, there were many to follow in its path but to many thee is only one Bard's Tale.
Now nearly twenty years on, from the original creator Brian Fargo, we have a new Tale. Set in the medieval period, you are The Bard, a man who has not a care for anything unless it is coin and cleavage, you move through the land chatting and conniving, spreading charm or if you wish sarcasm in your wake as you weave your way through the plotlines.
It even has Cary Elwes, Robin Hood in Men in Tights, the Robin with a real English accent as he battles with a wide variety of weapons and even uses his music to summon creatures to help his cause.
Of course a few months ago things were not so rosy as Acclaim, who were to have published TBT went into liquidation leaving things in limbo. Now over the horizon on a white charger comes Ubisoft to save the day and publish The Bards Tale in Europe. Further as a bonus it was confirmed that there would also be versions for the PS2 and PC as well as the Xbox.
Due out in March.
