Once the worst that could happen was that the world would be ripped apart by a terrorist nuclear device. Now in the age of dirty bombs, chemical and biological terror things are getting much, much worse. This is the new, darker world of Rainbow Six 4: Lockdown
With another leap in atmosphere and realism of things presented Lockdown provides us with a more taut and in places more personal storyline to follow as we once more help Ding Chavez and his team deal with a bewildering array of threats.
With more equipment, better training and enemies that learn to react to the way you counter their moves, things are now more engaging than ever. A creak of a floor board may be all you have to tell you that high above someone is up there with a rifle aimed at the back of your head.
Multiplayer modes too are now part of the mix, with co-op missions to complete and as a treat on the Xbox version a dedicated respawn deathmatch mode, where the best team has the most frags.
As one last addition, there is a whole new way to play. Sniper mode where you take the role of Dieter Weber, marksman and one of the most deadly people on the planet. Remember to Breathe, Aim, Slack, Squeeze.
No relase date has been confirmed as yet. More when we know it.
