Step over the former King of must have cool, a new box is on the block.

In a poll by gadget rag, Stuff Magazine the humble Sony PSP has toppled the previously unassailable iPod as the one must have gadget to indicate just how cool you really are.

Due for release in the States in under three weeks and her ein the UK and Europe not long after the PSP, along with the Nintendo DS is one of the more serious contender for the GameBoy crown of top dog handheld.

With impressive features and signature styling the PSP is a very strong contender for the GBA and the DS these are what was likely to have propelled it to the top of the list of gizmo's to own.

And next year is already being mooted with the Xbox 2 tipped to be the must have full console in 2006.
