You can choose from fourteen different civilisations, who will build cities, countries and ultimately an empire that can span the whole globe. This is accomplished by allowing the borders and boundaries of each land to be a resource as important as gold or oil as the various powers vie for supremacy. With a souped up AI, one that will react more dynamically to your moves as well as it can divine them, adapting as you adapt to conditions such as fog, snow, flood, feast and famine. Further with a shift of focus to allow casual gamers to take part and enjoy the game in spurts, even as the more avid player is planning how to capture his next strategic hotspot, there looks to be a good mix of things to keep everyone occupied.
