15th March 2005:
Pushing the boundaries
A decade is a long time in cricket and few have been around as long as Brian Lara.
Posted by Chris Snook - Xbox,PlayStation 2,PC - UK and Europe

A decade ago the worlds leading batsman was a young West Indian called Brain Lara and the Codemasters garnered the first title to bear his name. Now ten years on, the latest addition to that series.

Brian Lara International Cricket is like Lara himself a more complete product, gone is the heady rush of youthful exuberance and verve to be replaced by a more steady and technically adept version, still packed with underlying brilliance but guided by a wiser more focused vision.

The Codies are promising as close to the real thing as possible with athletic dives, shots and all the technical elements you could want. This places within test and One Day matches, populated by some of the best cricketers of today's game - thanks in part to the scooping up of Official ICC content, allowing you to pit the teams you want to play against each other.

With commentary by Jonathon Agnew, Ian Bishop and David Gower, the option of having four players competing against each other in pairs and the option to play historic tests including the very first. There will be no sticky wickets for anyone.

Due out this Summer.
