Posted by Marc Hull - Xbox - UK and Europe Sega's Get Bass (known over here as Sega Bass Fishing) was one of the first videogames to open up the exciting sport of fishing to the mainstream market. While many played it expecting a weird-but-dull affair, they were soon captivated by its arcade-style gameplay and cool fishing-rod peripheral. However, with the Dreamcast's demise, many thought that we'd seen the death of the console fishing genre. Fortunately, though, Microsoft announced at their recent X02 event that a new fishing game is in development for the Xbox, and that it would include online gaming support! Unfortunately for us, other than the Fishing Live Online title and the four screenshots below, we have absolutely no information on this game at all! We hope to have more details, such as a solid release date, and info on exactly how the online side of things is going to work, pretty soon. In the meantime, check out these rather tasty first shots.
