Electronic Arts have announced the latest instalment in their successful James Bond game franchise. Due for release on the GameCube, Xbox, and PlayStation 2, James Bond 007: From Russia With Love will star Academy Award-winner, Sir Sean Connery, the original and best James Bond.
In the classic film, James Bond (Sean Connery) squares off against the evil 'SPECTRE' organization in a race to seize the Soviet Lektor decoding machine. The film has some memorable moments including a thrilling boat chase, a brutal helicopter attack and a deadly brawl aboard the Orient Express.
From Russia With Love, the game, will be based on the classic Bond film but will also feature some new plot twists, gadgets and characters. Sir Sean Connery, appearing in his first-ever videogame, lent his voice and likeness to the project.
"As an artist, I see this as another way to explore the creative process," said Connery. "Video games are an extremely popular form of entertainment today, and I am looking to seeing how it all fits together."
The game is officially licensed by MGM Interactive and is being developed by EA's Redwood Shores, California studio and as you can see from the trailer below, the game looks in keeping with the action and style of the Connery era.
