Posted by John Grothier - PC - UK and Europe CDV have just released some screens of there upcoming story-based single player PC strategy game, Imperium Galactica 3: Genesis. The year is 2040, and you are in control of a huge fleet of a multinational cooperation which is at war with a rival cooperation. After the discovery of alien technology, which leads to space expeditions, disaster strikes when returning to mother Earth and you find that it has been invaded by Aliens. Only one spaceship managed to escape the doomed planet, and now it is up to you to find it, build up your colonies and gather strength enough to re-conquer Earth. In Imperium Galactica 3: Genesis player will have to master two distint challanges; tactical skills to win the 3D real-time space battles by controlling your fleet via a tactical interface. While mastering the strategic skills of building and managing by distributing resources, researching technology and building and equipping spaceships. The game features one large campaign with at least 6 parallel storylines besides the main story, with some random missions thrown in for good measure. Over 100 planets in 20 solar systems, with at least five different alien races to interact with. Silicon fusion will bring you more of this sci-fi stratagy goodness soon, but in the meantime enjoy these newly released screeshots.
