First-Person Relief
Activision release some new screenshots from their upcoming WWII first-person shooter, Call of Duty 2: Big Red One.
Posted by John Grothier - GameCube,Xbox,PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is already looking like one of the most itense WWII first-person shooter yet developed for a console. Due for release on the GameCube, Xbox and PlayStation 2, this FPS is being developed by Treyarch - the people behind the fantastic Spider-Man 2.

Players will assume the role of a yet namless soldier who has signed up as a member of the U.S. Army's First Infantry Division, also known as the Big Red One. You will have to take out a number of Nazi's spread across detailed locations such as Africa, Italy, and the northern parts of Europe.

As with any good first-person shooter, players will get their hands on a varied supply of weapons including machine guns, pistols and a bazooka. The landscapes used in this title already look increadbly detailed and stunning - as you march over grassy fields, snow-covered land and hot deserts. Enemy aircraft will bombard your location with machine gun fire and hundreds of German soldiers will test you at all times.

Call of Duty: Big Red One is expected to be released this coming October for all three consoles.

More - as we get it.
