Konami Gear Up for PSP
This September there will be the first showing of a familiar face on Sony's small screen.
Posted by Chris Snook - - UK and Europe

It is about two months until the European launch of Sony's PlayStation portable and Konami have decided to let us know of an early front-runner for the charts.

As you may well know there has been in the works for a while now a PSP version of the Metal Gear game series, called Metal gear Acid, today they confirmed that it will be one of the launch titles in Europe.

Once more you take the role of Solid Snake, this time in 2016, shortly after the hijacking of the aircraft containing the US President. Seemingly all the hijackers wish is for PYTHAGORAS a supremely secret project to be turned over to them. It is Snake's mission to determine what Pythagoras is and acquire it using the unique to the system card based play.

Hideo Kojima, Corporate Officer at Konami Corporation, stated "Metal Gear Acid marks a new beginning and direction for the Metal Gear series," He further commented "The concept was to create a 'Metal Gear' for the handheld machine. Its card-based content allows players to enjoy a deeper level of tactical espionage, while the many cards ensure that a number of offensive or stealth options are always at the player's disposal. We are delighted that the game will accompany the Sony PSP's European launch, and hope fans of the series enjoy Solid Snake's newest small screen adventure."
