A Hundred Million Dollar Hit
Someone is going to gain a horses head in the bed tonight as news comes in that The Godfather will be late.

One of the most eagerly awaited games of the year will now be released early in 2006. Electronic Arts today, the largest games publisher worldwide has announced that the game based on the first The Godfather film will now not make the expected Autumn debut and will be delayed by a number of months. Missing the crucial Holiday period for sales.

The delay is in response to a need to fine tune the games 'Open World' system that will allow for an increased level of interaction with the world as you vie for the opportunity to become the new Don of the Corleone criminal family. It is estimated that failing to catch the Christmas sales period will cost EA a possible $100 million in revenues.

In The Godfather gamers will be able to create their own mob character in the game, putting themselves into the action while reliving classic moments from the fiction and experiencing original missions alongside memorable characters from the film. After a life of small-time jobs and petty thefts the player will be accepted into the Corleone family, America's most famous criminal organization. It will be up to the player to carry out orders, earn respect and make New York City their own.
