Posted by Chris Barnett - Game Boy Advance,GameCube - UK and Europe Hideki Konno, the producer of the upcoming Mario Kart DS has given a few interesting details about the game that make it even more appealing. For the first time in a Mario Kart game, players will be able to modify the decals on the carts, possibly by using hand drawn scribblings. Costumes of the characters can also be changed to suit a favoured colour or for clarity, giving the possibility for Mario to dress up like Luigi. Whilst these announcements are purely cosmetic, the fact that 15 new tracks will be featured is far from it. This is in addition to classic tracks from all other games in the series. Although little detail was given about multiplayer modes, Konno hinted that the battle mode may feature a balloon inflation mechanic that requires the player to blow into the DS. Quite how this will look in public remains to be seen, but it can't be any worse than the prospect of shouting "SIT" aloud you play Nintendogs. Chris Barnett             Latest Images:
