Posted by Chris Barnett - PlayStation 2,Xbox,PC - UK and Europe After we reported on the delay of The Godfather yesterday (the game that is, the movie's been out for years!), it seems Eidos has now slid two key games into the 'next year' bracket. The latest victims are Tomb Raider: Legend and Hitman: Blood Money, which is rather bad for the former as Angel of Darkness was riddled with cancellations, and look what happened there (our review is still fresh in the mind to this day). Both of these games were due for the Playstation 2, Xbox and PC, as well as a PSP and Xbox 360 version of Tomb Raider, yet these later two versions have not been delayed at the moment! This would mean a 360 and PSP version before the existing consoles! Whilst this sounds quite crazy, we expect this to be changed quite quickly and will keep you updated when it is. As it stands at the moment, both games are slated for a release of 'early 2006' on all three 'major formats' (although by then the 360 will be in the game), but this seems very hazy for such key games. This certainly means that gamers will expect more from these games as they will appear in the pool of next generation releases. Whether this affects their success remains to be seen, but past cases of Daikatana and Galleon has proved that delay into another generation does not work well.
