PSP White-wash - in Japan
Despite suspect supply levels in the UK, Sony have announced a limited edition white PSP for release this September in Japan.
Posted by Chris Barnett - PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe

Talk about one rule for some people and another for others! Sony has rubbed the faces of UK independant retailers into their release schedules by announcing a nifty looking white PSP for Japanese people.

As our pictures prove, the console certainly looks smart, but probably would not be suited to our grubby UK hands. We can remember the filthy Dreamcast consoles that graced our living rooms a while back, promting us to buy a stencil kit (which eventually became so tattered that it looked worse than the grubby body underneath!). But it is unlikely that the UK will see such limited editions any time soon as the normal editions are so hard to come by.

Actually, from the supplies promised for the UK so far, a standard black PSP could be said to be limited edition! But let's hope that Sony do sort out this supply problem and find it in their hearts to allow us in the UK to play on a white PSP without resorting to spraypaint or tip-ex.
