Namco have released some new screens of Sigma Star Saga for the Game Boy Advance. This title combines role-playing depth and storytelling with intense space-shooting action to create an original video game adventure unlike any other.
Taking place in the midst of a decades-long interplanetary struggle, Sigma Star Saga casts players as a human double agent deep in enemy territory on a mission to subvert the Krill armada from the inside. Featuring an engaging storyline of love, betrayal and revenge spanning the entire galaxy, Sigma Star Saga allows players to explore their surroundings and outfit their character, with powerful weaponry that will prove indispensable in their quest for victory.
The action takes to the skies in fast-paced side-scrolling space shooting segments. Using unique Gun Data found during exploration missions, players can customize their ship with more than 15,000 combinations of upgrades that can be used during battle segments.
"With an innovative combination of both RPG and space-shooter elements, Sigma Star Saga is one of the most ambitious games ever made for the Game Boy Advance,"
said Jeff Lujan of Namco Hometek.
"We have taken the most memorable aspects of these two genres and have tied them together into a gripping science fiction storyline to create a truly compelling, original game for fans of handheld gaming."
