Burnout Bandslam!
EA have announced a competition that allows bands to get into the anticipated racer without having to become famous!
Posted by Chris Barnett - Xbox,PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe

EA, Hard Rock International and Gibson Guitar have announced an inventive musical competition to promote the upcoming Burnout: Revenge. Would-be bands are being offered the chance to actually appear on the soundtrack to the game. Since the competition is Europe-wide, you can expect there to be various levels of talent and musical styles on offer to the judges.

The official site: http://www.burnoutbandslam.com/ gives all the details needed to enter the competition, but anyone who feels they can cut some decent beats can submit work.

How this can translate to the final game remains to be seen, whether the tracks will be compulsory or optional, that is. But with the Xbox version likey to feature some form of personal soundtrack it will probably be a case of excluding the post-modern-euro-trash music that is likely to surface. But who knows; the competition could unveil the next 'Abba' or 'Air', and who would complain about trashing cars to sounds similar to 'Dancing Queen'?

Burnout: Revenge is due out in September, so you have plenty of time to tune those beats (or censor the swearing on your existing tracks!).
