Posted by Chris Snook - Xbox,GameCube,PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe The Total War series has proved to be a sleeper hit, with thousands of copies sold over the last few years as different cultures have been explored. Now developers The Creative Assembly are piecing together a new experience that they hope will fuse the large-scale aspects of Total War with a more direct approach to combat. Spartan: Total Warrior places you, the player, into a land filled with mythical beasts, mighty challenges and combat on a totally different level as you segue from the epic scale through to the one on one combats that can turn the tide of conflict. They hope to offer massive pitched battles where you are shoulder to shoulder with your comrades, pulling of spectacular combinations of moves, block, parries, thrusts and many more even as you savagely cut a swathe through the opposition. All taking place on a huge, open battlefield that stretches tot he horizon and beyond, even as far as Rome itself. Spartan: Total Warrior is due out next month on GameCube, PS2 and XBOX.
