Nin Down
Make no bones about it, Nintendo is looking to remain top dog in the handheld market.
Posted by Chris Snook - - UK and Europe

With being a massive Japanese hit Nintendogs is set to be one of the more unusual titles to grace the DS this year.

Now seemingly in recognition of this, Nintendo have announced a price drop of $20 for the US version fo their Dual Screen machine. And the two are most definitely linked with the DS being the highest selling handheld over the last four months fuelled by the canine antics of Nintendogs, who incidentally have shipped 700,000 copies of the title in Japan alone.

Obviously Nintendo America is hoping to emulate this in the States and presumably in Europe at a later date. Currently no indication that the DS in the UK will also drop in price but do not be too surprised if it does.
