Nintendo has shadowed the unofficial announcements that we have reported on regarding its Revolution console by offering some official news that is very exciting. The company has announced that the upcoming Metroid Prime Pinball will feature a rumble mode, a first for the DS system.
The rumble will be implemented using an additional accessory that plugs into the Game Boy Advance Game Pak slot. The accessory will be included with the game when it is released in America on October 24th and will not increase the price of the game. Whether the new accessory will be compatible with future, or indeed past, games remains to be seen, but it would be a very welcome feature.
Another Nintendo announcement that accidentally slipped out during an interview is that a Nintencats game could be in development as we still await the awesome looking Nintendogs. Hideki Konno, a member of the team on Nintendogs indicated during an interview that there have been suggestions of various sequels to the game based upon the wide variety of pets available to the world at the moment. To add to the favour of cats, he added that the company already had cat models for another game they are working on! With all this to consider we are dizzy with possible suggestions!
Nintensnakes, Nintenbirds, Nintenchinchillas or a game involving miniature monster pets that you put in your pocket. In fact, quash that last one, it sounds ridiculous!
