Need Wanted
The police are on to you, they have a rap sheet as long as a gorilla's arm, can you handle the Need for Speed?

There is just something about hurtling along at a thundering rate that kicks in the adrenaline more than anything else. Naturally that gets frowned upon on our motorways so the next best thing often comes in the form of a video game. Now Electronic Arts are to extend an invitation for you to be come a Need For Speed Most Wanted.

Now not only do you get to take on other drivers as you race through the various locales but you once more battle against the police who over time will build up a charge sheet, littered with your misdemeanours and felonies as you indulge in your rapid velocity thrill-seeking. In addition you can watch as your race cred mounts with other racers, raising the stakes further until you hit the black list and ultimately become the Most wanted.

"Out-race your opponents, evade cops and exploit the open world in Need for Speed Most Wanted; street racing doesn't get any better than this," said Larry LaPierre of EA Canada. "Players instantly will feel the thrill of the ride as they hit the streets in an open world environment where drivers can tune their cars to compete against any class of vehicles or use their wits to out-fox the law to satisfy their need for speed."

Further, to bring a little touch of Hollywood, model and actress Josie Maran is set to appear in the game, who takes the role of a street racer that sucks players into the world of petrolheads and speedsters aiding them as they clamber higher and higher up the ranks of the pursued.

"Video games are much more personal than films since it's an interactive experience for the audience; it's like being invited into their home," said Maran. "For Need for Speed Most Wanted, we performed in front of a green screen, much like a Hollywood set, so all the gamers will see will be real-life video of the actors merged into environments from the game; it's simply amazing."

NFSMW is set to appear on all formats later this year.
