Many years ago there was X-Com: Enemy Unknown the forbear of the UFO series, now a decade or so on come the latest in that long line, UFO: Aftershock the direct successor to UFO: Aftermath.
Continuing almost directly after the successful fight against the Reticulans it was revealed that they were wishing to cover the Earth in Biomass, tissue that in time they hoped would become a single, gigantic psychic entity. It was also discovered that they were nothing more than a breakaway group, who picked a weak backwater world to perform their hideaous experiment. Now after finding that the remnants of the human race have been moved to an orbiting satellite and the Biomass experiment continued. Now humanity must now defuse the danger that the Reticulans have left on Earth as the final, true horror has emerged.
With story driven missions, each interlinked to one another, improved destructible environments and improved systems of character progression, UFO Aftershock also delivers a high quality base and resource management game, fuelled by research and discovery. Reclaim lost factories and find new weapons and devices or unearth hidden artefacts in order to defeat new enemies and old.
Are you ready for the Aftershock?
Due out October 7th for PC and next year for XBox.
