Atari release some new screenshots from their upcoming management sim, Tycoon City: New York.
Posted by John Grothier - PC - UK and Europe

Arati's Tycoon City: New York promises to reveal New York's inhabitants as they go about their daily lives in thrall to the 'city that never sleeps' -due out for the PC later this year.

With its iconic Brownstone terraced houses from the Upper West Side of Manhattan, instantly recognisable from such television shows as Sex & The City and The Cosby Show, this could only be New York. Bustling streets of New Yorkers stopping to meet friends at their favourite café or deli; crowding into neighbourhood basketball courts in a state of readiness for the next one-on-one contest to see 'who's got game'; picking up groceries in local shops trading late in to the evening; jostling to see up-and-coming bands playing outdoor gigs in local parks - this is the living, breathing, day-to-day side of neighbourhood New York as seen through the eyes of its inhabitants in Tycoon City: New York.

With a population of over 8 million inhabitants New York is the most densely populated city in North America. Developer Deep Red Games has recreated this bustling metropolis on an unprecedented scale. This title features 60,000 living, breathing inhabitants, each with their own identities, wants and desires, Tycoon City: New York is a virtual recreation of a real-life city on a massive scale. Cabbies ferrying their fares across the city in their iconic yellow cabs, fire crews rushing to an emergency downtown in their fire trucks, tourists taking in the sights from an open top bus, or pedestrians simply going about their daily shopping, work and social routines, this is everyday life as seen on the streets of New York and as played out by the virtual inhabitants of Tycoon City: New York.

More as we get it.
