14th September 2005:
Alive? Very much so!
Combat will be arriving, ready and primed for Microsoft's slim white beast. Out to prove that is it more Alive than Dead.
Posted by Chris Snook - - UK and Europe

One of the most anticipated titles for the Xbox 360 launch is looking to be shaping up very nicely and appears to be ready to push the new system quite hard with what are being billed as the most advanced 3D graphics seen in any game to date - on any system.

Curiously as yet there are very few details regarding Dead or Alive 4's story. What we do know however is that a decent chunk of peoples favourites are back from previous outings, that there will be the almost obligatory new comers to the stage of getting their guts splattered about.

This time round there is to be improved Xbox Live support allowing for huge tournaments across the globe, Voice and text chat, scoreboards, clans and all the usual malarkey that occurs when any game picks up an online following.

Taking advantage of the boosted graphical grunt, the stages will be bigger, better and more interactive than ever, showcasing to the full those three dimensional graphics, right down to the way individual hairs move in the breeze. For further visual candy everyone will have a galaxy of new costumes to dazzle as they fight, some will even entertain us with new hair-dos, presumably extra light for breezes.

Finally, DOA4 will boast the most complex and involved countering system of any instalment yet, providing a further level of control over your favourite characters in order to prove that you are the true master of all that you pummel into bits of bone.

As it is expected to be a launch title, DOA4 will certainly be in Japan by Christmas and presumably in the US or Europe simultaneously or shortly after.
