With action that is backed by the same technology the US uses to train troops for missions, realistic use of physics, tactics, weather and lighting, this is as close as it gets to actually being there. Whether there is on the ground trying to surprise the enemy with a covert mission, or an A1-Abrams tank, ploughing through the infantry, or a shoot and scoot mission in an Apache Gunship, there is plenty to do and control. With significant upgrades from the PC original, slicker AI - more human and able to surprise the other side with tactics, eight way play over XBox Live on each of the fifty or so missions. OF: Elite looks set to take combat to the next plateaux. Operation Flashpoint: Elite is out in November.
