Posted by Chris Barnett - Game Boy Advance,PC - UK and Europe This Friday sees one of the most exciting release combinations in recent months: Nintendogs on the Nintendo DS and Black and White 2 on the PC. Both titles have arrived at stores and are expected to do well commercially on pre-orders alone. The new advertising style of Nintendo, in which they follow a set template of a 'notice board' for their games, has been used for Nintendogs after its mild success for Advance Wars: DS and Meteos. The blanket coverage of the game in shops extends to cardboard bones with details of the game, as well as a bonus pack (or should that be bone-us?) containing the game and a Nintendo DS console for £99.99. On the Black and White 2 front is a huge collection of online advertising, including movies and publicity stills. Print adverts have also been used to get people in the know about the game as many will still be unconvinced that it is finally here! The game will be released in two versions. A collector's edition double DVD will be released at the price of £39.99 and will include exclusive production information as well as an extra creature (in addition to the four in the standard version), the tiger. The standard version will be £29.99 and will only be available on DVD ROM, so gamers can rest assured that their DVD ROM facilities will be used for something other than watching 'The Matrix' on DVD. With these two games arriving on the same day it looks as if dad may have to treat himself to Black and White 2 whilst buying 'little Jimmy' his long awaited Nintendogs. And what of 'Sister Susie' and mom?
