Wrestle with the stars
THQ is giving you the chance to wrestle with real WWE stars at a tournament in November. Don't forget your bandana!

THQ has announced its first ever THQ European Superstar Challenge. The videogame competition, featuring actual WWE Superstar talent (that's wrestlers for the uninitiated), is scheduled to take place in Manchester on 17th November 2005.

WWE Raw Superstars will go head to head in the virtual world of WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2006, THQ's much-anticipated release for the Playstation 2 PSP. This competition will test whether the Superstars have what it takes to be king of the gaming ring as they compete in a one-on-one knock out tournament to take home the first THQ European Superstar Challenge title; a strangely compelling award.

The THQ European Superstar Challenge will be an exclusive event for WWE fans, allowing them to get closer to their idols than ever before. Fans of the WWE games will also be keen to show off their skills on the large scale, taking actual wrestling scalps along the way!

Tickets for the inaugural event will be available exclusively through promotions with THQ's selected media partners. In addition, several top prizes will be distributed, giving winners the chance to meet their WWE idols and enjoy the experience of an actual WWE live event (foam hand not included).

As the game is due for release on November the 11th, you will not have a long time to practice, so we suggest playing the existing WWE SmackDown vs. RAW and hoping that it plays the same. No matter what though, this is definitely a game to look out for, as the actual in game shots from the PlayStation 2 version, below, show.
