Azeroth may burn once more.

Blizzard have announced the first fleeting, tantalising details about World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade the first expansion for the phenomenally successful MMPOG.

Burning Crusade follows on from the back story of the original, with the Alliance and Horde striving to rebuild Azeroth after the devastation of the Burning Legion. Now once again it stands on total cunsummation as rumours begin to erupt that the Legion is not as defeated as thought and that it is once more seeking dominion... and death.

WoW:BC features a raised level cap, ten new levels to attain, each with abilities and upgrades that matter. There will be new player races, as yet un-revealed to challenge even the most practiced player, socketable items to increase the customisability of your gear and a new crafting tree of Jewlcrafting to offer even more options. Add in new mounts, more places to explore and battlegrounds to face off in, all presenting new challenges.

No date for release, or screenshots, has been given out yet.
