Work has been progressing on the latest title based on JRR Tolkien's world. Progressing quite well in fact, slowly but surely the details on Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth II are emerging.

Based on the previous game, there will be three new factions to play, Elves Dwarves and Goblins as you venture forth into never before seen lands including Mirkwood and Dol Guldur even as the mightiest heroes strive for their cause.

Further you will be able to build anywhere on the landscape, create your own fortress stronghold to direct your armies, now with even more fluid AI to bringing to bear the tasks you lay upon them. Or take to the seas and wage battles there, all the more creating a truly unique hero of your very own, to bring even greater renown to your units.

With Hugo Weaving lending his likeness and voice once more to Elrond, the leader of the Elves of Rivendell an extra dimension is applied to the experience as now you fight combats and battles never before seen anywhere on screen before. it will be Elrond himself who will guide the player through the missions, both good and evil as the story unfolds further and farther than ever before.

LOTRBFME2 will be out sometime next year.
