Soon GameCube owners will be able to suck on the blood of innocent civilians in Eidos' Blood Omen 2. The game, which received favourable reviews on both the PS2 and Xbox, allows you to play as Kain, the baddie from the Soul Reaver series. You have to free Nosgoth from the clutches of the Sarafan empire, which generally involves a lot of adventuring, puzzle-solving and combat with Sarafan soldiers. However, one of the best aspects of the game is the feeling of being part of a living, breathing world, with loads of civilians going about their daily lives around you, participating in conversations that you can listen in on and reacting to your actions. We expect the GameCube version to feature all of the atmosphere of the other versions, and possibly some graphical improvements to make use of the platform's extra power. We shall see closer to the game's January 2003 release date.
