New Super Monkey Ball Jr. screens!
Soon you'll be able to play Monkey Ball on the move with this great game from Infogrames and Realism.

We last saw Super Monkey Ball Jr. running on Realism's stand at ECTS, and back then it looked pretty fantastic. With the release of these new screens, we'd place a hefty wager on this pocket version of Sega's classic game becoming a big hit when it hits the Game Boy Advance early next year. The UK-based team have gone to tremendous lengths to recreate every detail of the GameCube game by preserving its maps, mini-games and insanely addictive gameplay. Although the graphics aren't quite as fluid as the game's larger cousin, they are incredibly impressive considering the handheld's limited power, and more than sufficient for Monkey Ball's levels.
While a lot of other 3D games on the Game Boy Advance have compromised gameplay due to a low, jerky framerate, Super Monkey Ball Jr is surprisingly smooth. You can actually see the game react to every slight touch of the control pad, and hardly ever feel as if you fall out of a level unfairly, which is essential for the gameplay. We returned to Realism's stand several times during ECTS to check this out, and can't wait to get our mits on the full game. However, once we do we'll try to tear ourselves away from it to give you full impressions. In the meantime, check out these new screenshots, and hope that monkey mania is only a few months away.
