THQ announces Sega Arcade Gallery
Four of the most famous arcade games in Sega's history are set to appear on Nintendo's handheld courtesy of THQ.
Posted by Marc Hull - Game Boy Advance - UK and Europe

There can't be many people at Sega who are more important than Yu Suzuki, the boss of the AM2 development team. Recently, he's been responsible for directing the Shenmue games, being the driving force behind Ferrari F355 Challenge, and he's also the creator of Japan's most popular fighting series, Virtua Fighter. However, before even the first Virtua Fighter game existed, he was busy working on some of the best arcade titles in Sega's history, and soon you'll be able to play some of them anywhere you want thanks to a compilation title for the Game Boy Advance.

Sega Arcade Gallery is being published by THQ and consists of four classic arcade games on one neat cartridge. For your money you'll get arcade-perfect ports of After Burner, an aircraft shooting game, Outrun, and arcade racing title, Space Harrier, a fast-paced action shooter and Super Hang On, a motorbike racing game. However, even though this is a retro pack, all of these games feature a pseudo-3D perspective and contain enough intense action to push the Game Boy Advance graphically. Also, if the gameplay of the original arcade versions is successfully ported to the miniature console, these should rival many modern titles in terms of gameplay.

We hope to have more information and first screenshots of Sega Arcade Gallery closer to its release later this year.
