15th January 2003:
Homeplanet's looking tasty
See how this new sci-fi strategy game from Russobit-M is shaping up with these new screenshots.
Posted by Marc Hull - PC - UK and Europe

Space-based strategy games often look spectacular, and give players the chance to take part in massive battles like those seen in sci-fi series' such as Star Trek and Babylon 5. Russobit-M's Homeplanet is no different, and seems to be set to go head-to-head with CDV's Imperium Galactica III when it's released later this year. The game's basic concept is to find your homeplanet, where you can set up base and live life peacefully; however, during your travels you come across many alien races who will help and hinder you in your quest. The final game promises 20 missions connected by a non-linear plot, with 60 different types of spaceship to be encountered and 6 which are player-controllable. There will also be battles containing up to 10 ships, as well as a mission editor that will allow players to create their own tasks, weapons and ships.

If these new screenshots are anything to go by, this is certainly worth looking out for if you're a sci-fi fan. Fortunately, we'll be bringing you all the latest information as it arises right here on Silicon Fusion!
