THQ announces GT Advance 3
Although not to be confused with Polyphony Digital's PS2 behemoth, GT3, this game still promises a massive number of features for a GBA title.

The original GT Advance was one of the first 3D games to appear on the Game Boy Advance, and was a pretty accomplished game despite showing some of its 'tech demo' roots. However, since then a lot has changed, and for the third game in the series, THQ are promising a much more feature-packed and expansive game that shares more in common with next-generation games than its predecessors. If you're looking for a pocket version of Gran Turismo, this may well turn out to be the closest you can get (at least until Sony starts making Game Boy Advance games).
GT Advance 3: Pro Concept Racing boasts an impressive 90+ authentic, licensed cars to take control of, and allows players to upgrade their motors by purchasing parts from 10 top car manufacturers. There are also over 40 courses to tackle, as well as a "Drift Combo" minigame and a 2-player mode. To add to these features, the graphics engine has also been improved to include TV-style replays of each race, new weather and environmental effects, more track detail and more realistic physics.
From these early screenshots, it certainly looks like GT Advance 3 near the forefront of the GBA's 3D games. Whether the developers can make it play as good as it looks, though, remains to be seen. We hope to have the answer to this closer to the title's May 2003 release!
