Acclaim are set to release a sequal to their hit Extreme-G series this coming August, with XGRA for the PlayStation 2. Set after the F1 Nurburgring disaster of 2025, the Extreme Gravity Racing Association, or XGRA, was formed to govern the future of all heavy gravity race events. Deep and complex communities of competitive teams, ruthless riders and outrageous sponsers - are all gunning for the championship.
XGRA will incorporate some all-new features in the futuristic racing genre, with fully interactive and destructable scenery and an all new weapon system will allow a more fluent gameplay experence. XGRA will also feature six new race types, the addtition of cars and side cars, variable weather conditions, spectacular crashes and an ear-pounding soundtrack presented in Pro-logic 2. If you race well enough headhunters will come after you with a new contract to race for their team, and real-time racing commentary and history will keep the racing fresh and real.
Silicon Fusion will have more on XGRA soon, but in the meantime enjoy these spectacular screenshots.
