Microsoft announced today that the very first batch of free downloadble content is now available for MechAssault via Xbox Live. This first update contains two new multiplayer maps, which support all five gametypes, and two brand new agile Mechs: Raven and Corvus. The two new multiplayer maps are Hell's Kitchen, a fiery volcanic world, and Stone Cold, just about the opposite with an icy, snowy enviroment to do battle in.
'Xbox and Xbox Live make it possible for us to keep fresh new content and gameplay 'in the faces' of our loyal MechAssault fans,' said president of Day 1 Studios, Denny Thorley. 'These fans are the leaders and influencers in the industry, and we thank them for their support and patience.'
MechAssault fans will not have to wait too long for the next batch of downloadble content, which is 'coming soon' and will contain the eagerly awaited 'Capture-the Flag' gametype.
