New Devastation screenshots
First screens of this action teamplay oriented first person shooter, set on post-apocalyptic Earth.
Posted by John Grothier - PC - UK and Europe

Devastation is set on a post-apocalyptic Earth, where survival is the name of the game. Developed by Digitalo, this action teamplay oriented first person shooter is powered by a heavily modified version of the Unreal Engine. Let battle commence on 32 massive photorealistic levels, which have been based on real-world textures. There will be 20 single player maps, and 12 multi-player set in four very different environments. Devastation will feature Hollywood-style effects and explosions and incredible particle physics that include explosive headshots, flowing water, stunning weapon effects, realistic fire, 'ragdoll deaths' and blood. Some amazing new AI technology gives enemies 'micro-behaviour' which makes them seem almost too real.

All the environments will be completely interactive, just about everything in them can be used, destroyed or manipulated in some way. There will be a staggering 30+ weapons, which include machine guns, swords, handguns, sniper weapons and incredible Rat Drones that allow players to 'become' weapons. 'We are delighted to announce the UK rights for Devastation' said Paul Rebhan, Managing Director of NovaLogic Ltd. 'This title is another step forward in our commitment to 3rd Party Publishing. We are looking forward to speaking to a number of new developers throughout 2003'.

Devastation will be released on PC CD - ROM across the UK in March 2003.
