Posted by John Grothier - PlayStation 2 - UK and Europe Ubi Soft have just announced at a new action adventure game will be released based on the hit movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Developed by Genki, the game is set in 19th Century China, and will feature martial arts fighting based on the classic teachings and techniques of the Wudan style. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will combine action adventure with combat, and interactive environments will help to suspend the known laws of space, gravity and the human body. Players will be able to become one of four characters; Li Mu Bai, Yu Shu Lien, Jen Yu, or Lo. The characters each have a their own special moves, talents and deadly weapons. Ubi Soft promises to capture the martial arts magic and fluidity of movement that made the film such a modern classic. 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is one of the most innovative and exciting movies in years, and we've dedicated ourselves to capturing the incredible look and feel that made the film such an amazing hit,' said Tony Kee, of Ubi Soft. 'With compelling characters, action-packed fighting sequences and stunning environments, the game will feature the martial arts magic of this classic film.' Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will be released for the PlayStation 2 in September 2003.
