Activision have just announced that a truly awesome voice cast is set to star in their upcoming crime title, True Crime: Streets of L.A. Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman and Michael Madsen will add their distinctive voices and talents as gangsters, street hustlers, social deviants and reluctant heroes. True Crime: Streets of L.A. is a mission-based driving and action adventure set in a 400 square mile living, breathing re-creation of the City of Angels. The game is inspired by Hong Kong action flicks and American crime dramas, and will put the player in control of Nick Kang, a rogue ex-cop, who is on a personal vendetta with the L.A. underground. Developed by Luxoflux, the creators of the successful Vigilante 8 series, the game will blend car chases, shootouts, foot pursuits and hand-to-hand combat between some stunning cinematic storytelling.
'Mission-based driving and action adventure collide in this bold new direction for interactive entertainment,'
states Larry Goldberg, of Activision Worldwide Studios.
'Infused with the unique flair of Hong Kong action films, True Crime: Streets of L.A. allows players to experience first-hand the car stunts, close calls, quick wit and high-action that are synonymous with this distinct style of cinema.'
True Crime: Streets of L.A. is scheduled for release on all three consoles later in the year, but we have some brand-new screens of the PlayStation 2 version in action for you.
