True Crime: Streets of L.A. screens (E3 2003)
Some brand-new screens of the eagerly awaited mission-based driving and action adventure set in a re-creation of Los Angeles.
Posted by John Grothier - PlayStation 2,GameCube,Xbox - UK and Europe

Take control of rogue Elite Operations Division (E.O.D.) operative Nick Kang who brutal reputation has landed him the job of taking out the Chinese Triad and the Russian Mafia, which has turned Los Angeles into a war zone. As Nick, players can take part in deadly gun battles; perform devastating martial arts moves and some high-speed car chases across 250 square miles of accurately recreated L.A. The game's missions can be on-foot or in vehicles and include jobs like locating hostile witnesses, searching for case-cracking clues, taking out evasive informants and busting the heavily armed and deadly bad guys. True Crime: Streets of L.A. promises to blend action and driving genres and allowing players to drive, fight and run and gun anywhere in the game world.

True Crime: Streets of L.A. will feature fast and frantic car chases as the player will be able to ' commandeer' any vehicle in the city. The fighting system will allow for a huge variety of manoeuvres including punches, kicks, combinations, grapples, and stealth attacks. One of the most exciting aspects of the game has to be the near endless gameplay - the game has a branching storyline with over 100 missions, as well as some free-roaming random missions to deliver multiple outcomes and some replayability. Live and play in L.A. with over hundreds of square miles of realistically recreated living, breathing L.A. streets, and players can visit landmarks and popular areas such as Hollywood, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills and Downtown. All this and Christopher Walken adds his distinctive voice to the game!
