Kameo: Elements of Power (E3 2003)
Rare's engaging blend of exploration and realtime fantasy combat. Screens and Video included.

Posted by John Grothier - Xbox - UK and Europe

Rare showed off a third eagerly awaited title for the Xbox at E3, with Kameo: Elements of Power. Rare tell us that Kameo is one of their key games for Microsoft's Xbox, complete with stunning visuals, a top-tier soundtrack and engaging blend of exploration and realtime fantasy combat.

The Troll King has returned to Kameo's land, bringing chaos and savagery to the world. Kameo must remove Thorn and his foul Troll army by using her special skills. These skills are based on a miraculous affinity for wildlife which extends to actually becoming one with the creatures that she nurtures into adulthood, making use of their strengths and advantages to overcome any obstacles in her way. There are six elemental fields - Fire, Water, Wind, Plant, Ice and Rock, and each creature belongs to one of the elements. Also each creature starts out as a baby, so Kameo will have to catch food and feed the infants until it reaches its most advanced stage of development. Helping out in the capture of these young beasts will be Meepo, a smart-mouthed dragon with talents (and secrets) of his own. So can Kameo prevail against all the odds? We will have to wait until early next year - but in the meantime we have some brand-new screens and a stunning video of Kameo in motion for you.
