Posted by John Grothier - PlayStation 2,PC - UK and Europe With just a couple of weeks until next generation Lara is finally released onto the PC and PlayStation 2, Eidos interactive have released some new screens and a brand-new trailer of Ms Croft in action. In Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness, Lara will face nightmarish situations she has never faced before. Her former mentor Werner Von Croy has been brutally murdered, and Lara has been framed for the crime. Now she has become a fugitive on the run, and must find Werner Von Croy's last client - the sinister Eckhardt, who is looking for the Obscura Paintings; five 14th century artworks. Lara must follow his trail from the back streets of Paris to the hellish depths of Prague. During her adventure Lara will encounter a kindred spirit in Kurtis Trent, a rogue adventurer, who is also after Eckhardt and his powerful group of alchemists who call themselves 'The Cabel'. In the Angel of Darkness, Lara will be able to learn and improve her abilities depending on how you play the game. As Lara progresses through the adventure she will be rewarded for puzzle solving and exploration in the form of strength, stamina and agility. Lara will be able to interact with many characters, and depending on your choices in conversation, Lara's route through the game will be affected. Players will also get the chance to control Kurtis Trent, who has his own distinctive moves including the terrifying Chirugai Blade. On the technical side, Lara will look better then ever with 5,000 polygons in her make up as opposed to just the 500 in previous Tomb Raider gamers, and she now has more that 500 fluid animations.
