Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
New screenshots of SONICTEAM's original platform game.

Although this game was covered briefly in our E3 report, Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg was one of the few new original IP's at E3. In a time when big licenses and sequels are seen as the only way forward, we are glad that the legendary Yuji Naka (creator of Sonic the Hedgehog and Phantasy Star Online) has brought something new to the table.

Whether Billy Hatcher is from the same universe as Sonic is yet to be seen but all the egg hatching and collecting certainly seems reminiscent to the evil Dr. Robotnik. Maybe there is a link between the evil genius and our adorable new hero? Maybe he is Dr.Robotnik?? Only time will tell as Q4 2003 is just around the corner.
