New Gothic II screens
We have some brand-new screenshots of this breathtaking role-playing action adventure game.
Posted by John Grothier - PC - UK and Europe

Gothic II is shaping up to be a truly breathtaking role-playing action adventure game, which will feature a staggering 400 highly intelligent Non-Player Characters. As the player progresses through the epic adventure, the NPC's will either help or hinder him depending upon both their disposition and their past interactions with the player. These NPC's are so intelligent that they will remember previous experiences with the player and also tell their friends who may seek retribution on their behalf - so no stealing! Every NPC has occupations and a social-life outside of their time interacting with the player, so a blacksmith will only be working at his shop from 9am until 6pm, then he's off to the local tavern for a refreshing ale or two and then home to bed - all of which will happen regardless of where the player is.

In Gothic II players will get the chance to develop through one of three character classes, as a Mercenary, Magician or Paladin. Each of these classes has social issues that will affect the world around them. Commenting on the game, Rebecca Lindon, of JoWooD Productions UK said: 'Gothic II features an incredible 400 NPC's who go about their lives working, sleeping, eating and get drunk together whilst occasionally meeting you as you undertake quests. You are presented with a living, breathing community the likes of which have rarely been seen in a video game before and then have the challenge of successfully achieving your goals within this incredible setting - without upsetting the society.'

We hope to bring you much more on Gothic II on Silicon Fusion very soon, but in the meantime we have these new screens for you.
