July 25th releases
Check out this week's new games without leaving your house! Then leave your house to buy them!

As the weekend comes again, so do the new releases. And so does our run down of them.

Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire (Game Boy Advance): Will this be as big as the earlier games in the series? Maybe not, due to the decline in popularity of Pokemon in general. But for those who didn't follow the hype and just played the games because they were good, this is the best yet. Read our review to see what we thought.

Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic (PC): The latest addition to the mediocre fantasy series. This version has everything that you would expect from an update: new spells, new story, new enemies and new worlds. If you are a fan of the series, this should prove to be the best yet. If not and if strategy is not your things, you may want to tread cautiously before buying this.

Crazy Taxi (Game Boy Advance): Pocket version of Sega's popular pick-up and drop off game. This time it runs in slow motion due to the technical limitations of the hand held. Trust us, if you have a Game Boy Advance, don't buy this thinking it will capture the game's spirit.

FIFA 2003 - Budget (PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox): Latest version of EA's soccer game gets a cheapo release. A bargain if you like the FIFA style of football games and don't already own it.

James Bond 007: NightFire - Budget (PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox): Moderately entertaining James Bond FPS that offers a glamourous spy slant to shooting. No Goldeneye, but then neither are any other FPS games (except Goldeneye)

Medal of Honour: Frontline - Buget (PlayStation 2, GameCube, Xbox): The third budget game released by EA this week. The WWII FPS has the atmosphere of a war movie but the gameplay of a below average FPS. It's your choice: an experience that is good for one complete play or £20 in your pocket to spend on a superior title (possibly the sequel).

Whilst the releases are dominated by budgets, the Pokemon deserves attention. If you don't have a Game Boy Advance you may be tempted to pick up one of the budgets on offer. Of course, you will only want one FPS so if the chice is between Bond and Honour we would suggest Bond, due to it's multiplayer. But if you have no friends, Honour may offer a greater experience.
