Posted by John Grothier - Xbox - UK and Europe Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War mixes some epic World War II battles, heart-stopping tactical and covert combat, with paranormal experiments and the living dead. In Tides of War, Hitler's real life obsession with the occult is fully realized, as he and leather-clad colleague Himmler, dabble in genetic experiments to create another army of zombies. Take on the goose-stepping, dog loving, vegetarian and the might of the Third Reich, as you assume control of B.J. Blazkowicz, an Army Ranger recurited into the Office of Secret Actions. Battle unearthly super-soldiers, zombies and mutants - as well as the Germans, in this all-new adventure for the Xbox and Xbox Live. Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War features two player co-op and full Xbox Live and System Link multiplayer support for some fantastic battles with your friends. Tides of War also features a strong one-player senario, which takes the player from zombie filled crypts in Egypt, to secret military installations and restricted X-lab facilites in the heart of Germany, where terrifying paranormal experiments to raise the dead must be uncovered. Using Xbox Live or System Link, Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War multiplayer features various styles of play where players must work together to accomplish mission objectives. With battlefields that have been specifically designed for the Xbox, eight against eight will make for some fast and furious multiplayer action. Invite other players into the melee from your buddy list, or use Xbox Live Matchmaking to find a favorite syle of gameplay. With the Xbox Live Communicator, and voice masking, you can verbally coordinate attacks, alert your allies to enemy positions, or simply scream for help!
